We are highly experienced, ethical, service-oriented lawyers, certified consultants, law clerks and legal assistants who practice exclusively in the area of immigration and citizenship law.  We are trained, insured, and regulated.  Our firm is based on a strong foundation of trust and integrity and ethical practice.  Our clients have learned they can trust us and rely on us to get the job done in a timely and effective manner.

Regulated

Our lawyers are regulated by the Law Society of Upper Canada and our Certified Consultant is regulated by the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council. We are required to abide by our respective codes of professional conduct.

Trained & Competent

We have completed extensive education and training to obtain our professional designations.  We are required by professional regulators to continue to receive annual legal training to ensure that we are aware and up to date with the many new developments in the practice of immigration law.  Immigration and citizenship matters have become increasingly complex and rules often change with little notice to the public.  We have seen how minor mistakes have unnecessarily delayed an application process or put an individual's or a family's immigration status at risk.  Our training allows us to better assist clients navigate through the complex processes, which ultimately provides clients with a level of comfort and peace of mind throughout the process.

Confidentiality

We are approachable.  Clients, potential clients, and colleagues in the field are always welcome to contact us on a confidential basis in order to discuss their immigration matters.  Matters discussed with one of our immigration lawyers are subject to solicitor/client privilege.  This means that the information provided to one of our lawyers is confidential and cannot be disclosed to anyone else without your consent.

When we act for corporations and their employees, both the employer and the employee are our clients.  Therefore, we have professional obligations to both clients.  This is a unique relationship which we explain before proceeding.  At the outset of the matter we ask the employee to sign a "Privacy Agreement".  The Privacy Agreement authorizes our professionals to speak to the employee's employer about their application.  In the event a conflict arises between the employer and the employee, we will stop work on the matter in order to secure the consent of both parties to continue to act.  These can be difficult situations; however, because we are prepared for these potential issues, they are dealt with professionally while minimizing the risk to either client, and ensuring each client's interests are addressed.
